How to help the unemployed entrants with talent support

Project Description

The most urgent challenge for the European Union is to help entrants and young people integrate into the labour market and reduce the number of unemployed people. As statistics show, people with low educational attainment are at a disadvantage in their job search, but today high qualification is not a guarantee, as the number of unemployed young graduates has increased significantly, mostly since the economic recession of 2008. The key to success in job hunting, in addition to appropriate qualifications, are competences such as social and problem-solving skills, creativity, etc. Self-employment can be a solution for many young people who need to find new and innovative ways. The situation shows that they perhaps do not have the appropriate qualifications or competences.

Implementation

The project “How to Help the Unemployed Entrants with Talent Support” is implemented through the creation of personalised itineraries for unemployed young people, combining training in digital and soft skills with individualised mentoring and work placements in partner companies. A digital platform will be developed to facilitate matching between young people’s profiles and job opportunities, alongside career guidance and entrepreneurship workshops. The multinational approach of the consortium will allow European best practices to be adapted to local realities, generating a direct impact on youth employability and contributing to reducing the gap between training and the labour market.

Expected Results

Personalised training itineraries for at least 100 unemployed young people, with significant improvement in their digital and professional competences.

Labour market placement of 70% of participants in jobs matching their profile, with stable contracts or self-employment.

Creation of a mentoring and networking platform connecting young talents with partner companies in the consortium.

Reports on good practices and a guidance manual to serve as a reference for other European youth integration programmes.
