New technologies threats for elderly

New technologies threats for elderly

Project Description

New technologies help people over 65 years old to find work more easily, receive online training and acquire new skills. For their leisure time and hobbies, social networks provide opportunities to make friends, attend cultural/sports events, share photos, videos, etc. However, all these digital devices can threaten older people if main rules for their use are not established.

Adult trainers will acquire competencies, skills and knowledge on how to support older people in their secure communication using new technologies in order to build correct habits and facilitate their social integration.

Objectives

Implementation

The project is carried out through the design and implementation of dynamic training programmes that include live classes, video capsules, podcasts, games and interactive materials. The methodology focuses on practical and collaborative learning, where real-life scenarios are used so that older people can recognise and avoid risky situations. This approach ensures that training is accessible, engaging and flexible, facilitating the integration of knowledge on cybersecurity and fraud prevention into their daily lives.

Expected Results

Increased ability of participants to identify digital threats and act safely in the event of possible fraud or attacks.

Reduced digital vulnerability of the older people group, promoting real and secure digital inclusion.

Creation of a catalogue of freely accessible digital training resources that facilitate user self-management of cybersecurity.

Greater confidence and autonomy in the use of technologies, digital tools and online communication platforms.
